POSITION PURPOSE
To lead the administration, enhancement, and effective use of BUV’s digital learning environment, overseeing Canvas LMS operations and developing high-quality digital learning resources. The role combines learning technology administration with instructional design and content development responsibilities, ensuring reliable academic operations while creating engaging and effective learning experiences through multimedia, interactive content, and emerging educational technologies.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Manage Canvas course deployment, from creating production sandboxes to deploying live courses. This includes maintaining efficient tracking and reporting processes and ensuring adherence to Canvas course template standards.
- Review and improve key operational processes and identify opportunities to automate manual administrative processes.
- Coordinate with Course Office to administer student and faculty enrolment, managing user account creation, roles, and permissions.
- Coordinate with Exams Office to ensure the accurate implementation of digital assessment support, including rubric creation, Turnitin integration, content validation, and faculty support.
- Generate user reports, analytics, and data exports as required.
- Collaborate with academic and professional staff to create, review, and improve digital learning resources and course materials across BUV online platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain engaging digital learning content using a range of educational technologies, including H5P, video, interactive activities, and multimedia resources.
- Apply instructional design principles to enhance online and blended learning experiences, ensuring content is pedagogically effective, accessible, and aligned with learning outcomes.
- Support the quality assurance and continuous improvement of online learning environments and digital content.
- Identify Canvas-related skills gaps among faculty and students and collaborate with the Learning Design Team to develop training materials, guides, and support resources.
- Perform other duties as required.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Vietnamese national.
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Foreign Languages, Design or Computing.
- 4 years of LMS administration experience
- Background in teaching, instructional design, or digital content creation
RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Video production / graphic design
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript
- Interactive design tools
- Automation workflows
