POSITION PURPOSE

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Manager, Marketing Communications to lead the development and execution of integrated marketing communications strategies at 91做厙 (BUV). This role is responsible for strengthening BUVs brand positioning, driving programme marketing effectiveness, and enhancing digital performance to support student recruitment and business growth objectives.

The position requires a strong leader with a strategic mindset who can oversee multiple specialist teams (Programme Marketing, Digital Performance, Brand, and Creative) and ensure alignment across all communication touchpoints. The role will play a critical part in improving key business KPIs including brand health metrics (awareness, consideration, BEI), lead quality, conversion rates, and enrolment outcomes.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders including Heads of Schools, faculty teams, Student Recruitment and cross-functional departments, as well as external partners, to deliver impactful campaigns and ensure consistency in brand and messaging.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Brand Management, Strategy & Promotion泭

  • Develop and lead the overall brand strategy to position BUV as a leading UK higher education institution in Vietnam and in target international markets.
  • Drive initiatives to improve key brand health metrics (awareness, consideration, brand equity index, etc.).
  • Ensure consistency of brand identity, tone of voice, and messaging across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Monitor brand performance and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Programme Marketing Strategy & Execution:

  • Lead the development of programme marketing strategies and annual plans aligned with business and enrolment targets.
  • Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of marketing campaigns for existing and new programme launches, both in Vietnam and international target markets.
  • Collaborate closely with Heads of Schools and faculty teams to ensure strong, consistent programme positioning and differentiation.
  • Drive initiatives to improve lead generation quality, conversion rates, and overall student recruitment performance.

Digital Marketing & Performance:

  • Define and drive digital marketing strategy to support overall marketing communications objectives.
  • Oversee digital performance team to optimize campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels (both owned-channels & external).
  • Ensure effective use of data, analytics, and marketing technologies to enhance campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Design and optimize end-to-end customer journeys to nurture leads, improve engagement, and increase conversion across the funnel.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve digital funnels to maximize lead acquisition and conversion.

Creative Development & Asset Production

  • Oversee the development and production of creative assets for brand, programme campaigns (digital, print, multimedia) and university wide activities.
  • Ensure all creative outputs are aligned with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Manage creative team to deliver high-quality, innovative, and timely content with strong focus on animation and video content.

Marketing Events Management

  • Coordinate with the Event team to work on planning, concept development and execution of marketing events (open days, campus tours, school visits, webinars, and recruitment events) to support student conversion.
  • Collaborate with Admissions and academic teams to ensure seamless event experience and effective lead nurturing.
  • Track and evaluate event performance, focusing on lead quality, engagement, and conversion outcomes.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Management: Lead and develop a high-performing team across Programme Marketing, Digital Performance, Brand, and Creative functions. Foster a collaborative, results-oriented, and innovative team culture. Provide coaching, guidance, and performance management to team members. Ensure effective resource allocation and workload management across teams.
  • Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders including academic leadership, Student Recruitment, and other departments. Act as a key marketing partner to support business objectives and institutional priorities. Coordinate with external agencies and partners to ensure quality delivery and alignment with strategy.
  • Budget Planning & Management: Develop and manage marketing communications budgets effectively; monitor spending and ensure optimal allocation of resources.
  • Reporting & Insights: Establish robust reporting frameworks to monitor competitors brands and track performance against KPIs; deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

COMPETENCIES (knowledge, skills, and abilities)

Essential

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communication, or related fields;
  • Minimum of 7 – 10 years in marketing communications, with at least 35 years in a managerial role;
  • Proven experience in integrated marketing, brand management
  • Excellent command of English and Vietnamese (written and spoken)
  • Experience managing multiple teams, stakeholders and complex projects
