Assoc. Prof. Maren Viol
Originally from Germany, Maren泭gained her PhD from Edinburgh Napier University in the UK in 2016泭with a thesis exploring commemorative narratives of the anniversary events of the fall of the Berlin Wall. She also泭holds an undergraduate degree in International Hospitality Management from泭Stenden泭University in the Netherlands and an MSc in Tourism and Events from the University of Sunderland in the UK.泭Maren泭has taught on tourism, hospitality and events management courses in the UK and Vietnam and has held泭措硃娶勳棗喝莽泭department and泭programme泭leadership roles.泭Maren is泭硃梭莽棗泭硃泭釦梗紳勳棗娶泭Fellow of Advance HE.泭Her research interests include commemoration, memory studies, semiotics, tourism泭education泭硃nd sustainable tourism. Maren has published泭award-winning泭research in泭眶梭棗莉硃梭梭聆泭梭梗硃餃勳紳眶泭academic journals and泭presented泭硃t international conferences.泭
